Jahleel Bailey, 22, was arrested early Monday, Jan. 11, on Staten Island, for the murder of Brandon Goode, of Bridgeport on Monday, Dec. 13, said the Bridgeport Police Lt. Christopher LaMaine.
Goode, 26, was found after police responded to an area near 242 Harral Ave., LaMaine said.
Responding officers located Goode in front of 250 Harral Avenue suffering from wounds to his lower extremities. He was transported by medics to St. Vincent's Medical Center where he died from his injuries.
Bailey, who was arrested on a warrant obtained by Detective WinklerAn arrest warrant had been obtained by Detective Robert Winkler charging Bailey with the homicide of Goode, who was married to Bailey’s sister.
Bailey is accused of fatally stabbing Goode after a dispute at their home, LaMaine said.
Once extradited to Connecticut, Bailey will be charged with murder and carrying a dangerous weapon.
His bond has been set at $1,000,000.
"This arrest is the result of excellent work by Detective Winkler and the other detectives that assisted in the case," LaMaine said.
